The University of East Anglia has three new positions available in environmental economics:
1. Senior Post Doctoral Research Associate in Computing and Economic-Environmental Modelling, Ref: RA863
Salary: £30,122 to £35,938 per annum
As part of a large multi disciplinary team, you will work on the construction of an integrated model of the delivery of 'ecosystem services' in the UK. In addition to a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in economics, maths, quantitative science or computing, you will have demonstrable evidence of research activity in computer modelling of complex systems using high performance computing.
2.Senior Post Doctoral Research Associate and Teaching Post in Environmental and Resource Economics, Ref: RA864
Salary: £30,122 to £35,938 per annum
Working within a large and active interdisciplinary team, this full time post involves a half research and half teaching load both in the area of environmental economics. Research contributes to a high profile analysis linking natural science and economic modelling of agricultural land use, forestry, greenhouse gas balance, water quality and quantity, habitat and biodiversity, recreation, etc.
You must have a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in economics, environmental economics or related field and be able to fulfil essential elements of the person specification.
3.Senior Post Doctoral Research Associate in Quantitative Economics, Ref: RA865
Salary: £30,122 to £35,938 per annum
You will join a high profile multidisciplinary team in the construction of an integrated model of the economics of ecosystem service delivery in the UK as mediated through land use. You will have the chance to involve yourself in all aspects of that research, though your primary area of responsibility will concern the economic analysis of the relationship between land use and water quality and quantity.
You must have a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in economics, environmental economics or related field along with excellent skills in economics, modelling and econometrics; and be able to fulfil essential elements of the person specification.
