Chaired by Professor Louise Heathwaite (Lancaster Environment Centre) this debate will bring together a range of experts to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with refining the ecosystem services concept i.e. the multiple benefits people obtain from ecosystems.
A timely topic given the imminent reporting on the first UK National Ecosystem Assessment. A key feature of this interactive debate is encouraging better integration of the ecosystem services into policy and practice.
